DANCE AS A RESEARCH PRACTICE
Teach & Research Track
This track invites to engage deeper with the Movement Artisan curriculum as well as with the Axis Syllabus as a lense for teaching and researching movement and dance. In the last MA season we already experimented with different formats adding layers of inquiry and additional competencies for experienced students.
In the 24/25 season we will continue and expand with offering this parallel track to our regular modules. The teach & research track offers additional mentoring supporting you in integrating, articulating and re-formulating embodied research in your own teaching and/or research.
You receive home study material (reading, writing, drawing, dancing) for orientation and continuity in your studies during modules. Each module we host a meeting to check in and discuss your current questions. In the up coming introductory module Sept 30 - Oct 6 we will for the first time offer some parallel sessions explicitly geared to the teach & research track. Other modules will have one or more extra days attached. Students of the T&R Track also engage in hosting laboratories (small presentations) and giving or participating in lab classes and feedback circles. Pre-requisites for the teach & research track is the participation in a minimum of 8 modules or the equivalent.
